Stage III. Preventing the conversion of testosterone to estrogen:

Excess estrogen can have a number of negative effects in men including lower libido and increased body fat. AMIDREN utilizes a 2-step estrogen modulation approach by inhibiting the conversion and blocking the estrogen receptor.
Step one involves an enzyme called the aromatase enzyme. This enzyme converts testosterone to estrogen. AMIDREN uses select herbs, which act as aromatase inhibitors and lowers the conversion of testosterone to estrogen.
Stage IV. Blocks Estrogen Receptors:
Step two of AMIDREN’s estrogen modulation uses estrogen-blocking compounds. In order for hormones to exert their effects they must attach to what are called receptor sites. AMIDREN contains natural compounds, which occupy and clog estrogen receptor sites and actually block estrogen from attaching to the receptors. The enzyme 5-alpha reductase is responsible for converting testosterone to this potentially dangerous hormone.
