What Is Purnaxin Natural Green Lipped Mussel Natural Anti-Inflammatory?

Purnaxin Natural, a well-researched natural anti-inflammatory compound is a proprietary glycogen complex targeting joint and connective tissue health.

Purnaxin Natural is extracted from the New Zealand green lipped mussel, Perna Canaliculus. At 18 months of age, the mussels are harvested exclusively from the Cromandel Coast. A liquid extract is obtained through a hydro-extraction process; the extract is snap-frozen and freeze-dried, producing the highest quality bioactive compound.

Purnaxin Natural uses only New Zealand Green Lipped Mussel extract. There are several "imitation" products, which do not have the beneficial properties described. The reason these imitation products (which are essentially just freeze dried whole mussel powder) do not perform the function described for Purnaxin Natural, is that the anti-inflammatory activity of the mussel decreases at a rapid rate when the mussel dies.

Additionally, if the extract is not stabilized during the extraction process it becomes nearly worthless. Thus, because mussel powders (as opposed to mussel extracts) are made from ground up frozen mussel meat, and in some cases, even from cooked mussel meat, the activity has been lost or destroyed.
