Directions

Glutamine plays many important roles in the body. It is a building block of tissue proteins, a source of energy, and has positive effects on muscle glycogen and protein synthesis. Glutamine is also involved in immune system function and has been found to stimulate growth hormone (GH) release. Prolonged, exhaustive exercise may results in a decrease in glutamine levels 1-2 hours after the exercise period.
